My Interest:: Building a hub (at unioncountyneighbors.com) of hyper-local resources for Union County residents and businesses.

This is a screen shot of the hyperlocal community that Scott and I run for residents of Union County NC. The joy of having a hyperlocal website is that I've had the opportunity to meet loads of new people, including Mickey - who started Mint-Hill.com, and Darryl of iMatthews, Steve of The Monroe Scoop as well as all the great people who have joined the site. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity and I'm really looking forward to meeting more people, working with others in my community and forging a partnership with other hyperlocal website owners!

Rental properties in Mint Hill?

I have a son who is looking for a house or apartment to rent in Mint Hill. He and his fiancee (and possibly my older son and his wife) are hoping to find a 2 bedroom place that they can afford. Any one know of anything off the top of their head?

We're so excited!

My son won a load of Pole Night tickets from one of the radio stations, and since he has no interest in going, he's passed them along to us. Even better, he won 2 tickets to the 600, which he also gave to us! We *try* to get to the 600 every year, but this year, we didn't think we were going to make it because in all honesty, we're struggling just to get the bills paid - so this came as one heck of a great surprise!
