What are YOU wearing?
No, I'm not a perv . . . but I've noticed a trend in my own experience running a home-based business.
Running a home biz has its advantages - you can crawl out of bed, throw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, grab a cup of coffee and head upstairs to the office. But it has been my experience that the days that I do just that - I am the least productive. I end up spending too much time checking the sports scores, too much time on Twitter or the other social networking sites, and… Continue

I'm in.
As I sat in church yesterday, I had a short conversation with God during the middle of praise and worship and declared to Him that "I'm In". My thoughts regarding those two little words are related to spiritual matters and runs pretty deep. I won't get into that here. Forget The Economy!
I believe way too much emphasis is placed on the "bad economy".
Sure things are down, but can worry change anything? Can telling everyone we meet, how bad the economy is and whether or not we are going to make it, change it one degree? The time we spend wringing our hands, and saying "woe is me", is wasted time and it produces a defeatist attitude.
Rid yourself of that.
Wake up with a smile on your face, and determination in your heart that nothing - absolutely… Continue

Social Networking Works
Okay, I'm sold.
At first, I was a bit skeptical about what I could expect - business wise - from the social networking sites. Initially, I thought it might just be a huge waste of time and very little could be gained.
Boy, was I wrong.
I am a member of: Mint-Hill.com, iMatthews.com, UnionCountyNeighbors.com, as well as Twitter and Facebook. Granted, I've gotten nothing from Facebook - but I have (1) made friends and (2) gotten business and (3) referrals from all… Continue
